On this day, two years ago, Lydia was spending her 3rd day back in hospital for Meningitis. It was the hardest time of my life. It was even worse than her birth because I was told for the second time, she might not ever get out of hospital alive.. She was 6 months old. But now, I have a healthy 29 month old baby girl that fought for her life. She’s the best thing to ever happen to me! She is my life and always will be.

Also on this day, 11 months ago, my uncle lost his battle with cancer. He was always my favourite and I was always his. I’ll never forget the last time he looked into my eyes and smiled. You are in a safe place now, ken. You’ll forever be happy and I know you’ll always be looking down on us all. It still feels like I only saw you yesterday. Time has gone by so fast. Rest in peace, Ken. We love you
